Employee Relations Manager


The Employee Relations Manager maintains a fair work environment throughout the company by supporting, educating, and counseling hotel General Managers and Human Resources Directors/Managers on human resources matters and issues, ensuring compliance with Federal/State employment laws and Union contract agreements, and enforcing consistent application of company policies. Key responsibility includes: Advising hotel-level and corporate leadership on escalated employee relations matters, workforce reductions, leaves of absences and disciplinary issues. Resolving associate complaints filed with the corporate office or federal, state and local agencies involving employment practices; and Advising General Managers and hotel Human Resources Directors/Managers on grievances, arbitration and other labor relations matters. Candidate must be able to travel at least 2-4 times monthly, including overnight stays. A minimum of four years experience as an Employee Relations or Human Resources Manager and a four year college degree or equivalent education/ experience is required. Hospitality experience preferred. Experience overseeing human resources operations at multiple locations desired. PHR or SPHR certification desirable. Bi-lingual candidate desired.
